Critical Reading Question

<p>This questions concern with 2nd Edition SAT Official GuideBook Practice Test 6 Section 3, page 708. The passage is on excerpt from a translation of a novel written in Spanish…</p>

<p>For question 11, I have difficulty understanding why the “fraud” that the upset the citizens of Mocondo was related to the fact that the vents depicted on the screen did not occur (option c) rather than option E, where it is due to the implausible plots of the stoires that were told. </p>

<p>it was the peoples first encounter with theater and movies. They went to watch one movie and shed tears of affliction over the death of the main character then they saw the same actor in another movie playing as someone else. They thought that movies were some kind of trickery. Read the last sentence of paragraph 2.</p>

<p>“they already had too many troubles of their own to weep over the acted-out misfortunes of imaginary beings.”</p>

<p>so they were upset because of the (C)“fact that the events depicted on the screen did not actually occur”</p>
