which seminars do you guys recommend??

They change by the year[atleast when I looked at the list, I saw a lot of different ones]. I’d just go with a topic you’re interested in[I didn’t because I did registration late and didn’t want to change my schedule once the semester began and it was not fun].

WRIT 057 301.
I took that two semesters ago. It was awesome. The professor who proctors the course has won 17 emmy awards producing for CBS.

lauke: what! that’s awesome, I’m gonna look into that course… thanks for the suggestion

hey i looked at that course, it’s about genes? not really my thing
anyways, I like Protest Literature and Rhetoric of the Presidency, anyone know anything about 'em?

As far as I know, most of the writing seminars teachers are hip and good teachers. The only real differences between writing seminar are the material and the workload.

The workload is quite different between writing seminars. Mine had no “final essay,” just a portfolio submission that counted for my final grade. Others have 10,20, or 30 page final essays.

If you have your pennkey log in and password, you should be able to go to http://courseweb.upenn.edu and search for the course you wish to join. Some of them are publicly listed there, and others are only visible to people enrolled in the course. The ones that are publicly listed there have a course syllabus that describe your workload.

Thanks lauke, you are very helpful
