<p>This essay wasn’t written for any particular prompt, and it’s about 500 words too much on the limit for the general Common App essay. I just wanted to get people’s opinions if I was going in the general right direction with a practice essay; you could say that this is a prompt for why I’m interested in pursuing the major I’m pursuing (film studies) without having any actual experience or prior background in this area. </p>
