<p>I am a junior at nearby Duquesne University and I was interested in cross registering for a certain course at Pitt. I would like to know if I will get a Pitt ID, and if it will scan on the public buses and if I can use it for library privileges. Thank you!</p>

<p>Hey I’m doing cross-registering too (although Pitt-CMU) and the answer is no. Because you don’t need your PittID to take a class, they won’t give you one. You’ll just show up for the class to whatever room it’s in and take it. Therefore, you also won’t get free bus privileges of library use because we actually pay for bus rides separate from our Tuition at Pitt.</p>
<p>Ok. Duq doesn’t give us bus privileges, and I’m not sure I can afford a bus pass. I’ll keep looking into it, however.</p>
