<p>Would it be possible to do community service/ voulentear work at a local airport (to me it would be JFK). Thanks. The reason i am saying this is because i want to major in aviation or somewhere along that line. CS in a airport would give me some experience i guess and would certianaly help me. So would it be possible?

<p>You should ask the airline personnel that work there (preferrably the top person) if you can get an internship or volunteer there. Target big domestic airlines (eg. AA, UA, Delta, NWA, jetBlue, US Air, Continental) or ask the people who are in charge of running the terminals. You might have a better chance and learn more at smaller airports like La Guardia or Newark, since they’re less hectic than JFK.</p>
