I am not talking about generic game courses, but more courses focusing on math or cs theory. Like would 2 semesters of statistics or more linear algrebra type of courses. Anything outside of class I should be reading?

The usual set of industry useful CS courses (since game development uses the same concepts as other software development):

algorithms, operating systems, software engineering, networks, databases, security

Plus, for games:

graphics, user interfaces, artificial intelligence

Thanks uc,

I know you love the whole math with core cs style education, do you think that would fit well with a gaming career?
