I’m worried about my SAT IIs bring down my app:

bio- 640
US history- 690
math 1- 670

I like to tell it straight. Stats are good. Cornell is going to be a gamble either way because they have an acceptance rate in the single digits. One piece of advice, as a computer professional myself, if you’re going into computers, you don’t need a 250k bachelors degree to do it. Entry level computer jobs are not terribly lucrative for the first few years and added student loan debt can sabotage an early career. You would be far better off finding a college that offers you a good merit scholarship and starting a career debt free. This way you can give 100% of your focus on your new career to build experience.

The 670 on Math1 and 640 on Bio are concerning. What is your AP Calc and AP Bio score? And the math score on your SAT?

Taking Calc right now so no score. Bio is a 4. SAT math section was a 780.

That’s weird. The Subject test Math1 is no harder than the SAT math. You should have got a high 700 on that with ease.

Do you think that will really kill my application? Or are they going to see it was one bad test day with other good performances in math and other subjects?
