CS vs CS with concentration in game development major?

I’m attending NCSU and I’m in my second semester of freshmen year. I know I want to do Computer Science but I’m not sure if I want to do the game development concentration or not. The main difference is in the junior and senior years when you choose what CSC classes to take. Would having the concentration hurt my chances of getting a job in a different CS field?

I doubt it would hurt at all. You will still have the needed skills. And there may be knowledge used for game development that is good for other areas too, such as good algorithm development. Just try interning at some normal company doing software development and u will have a good shot finding a job at graduation.
