CS61A Scheme: Install Linux or use Windows Binary?

Hello, I have a question for all the people you’ve taken this CS 61A.

Should I install Linux or Solaris, or go download the Windows binary from Berk’s website?

install dr. scheme for windows
it’s also available for linux.
At first you may have difficulty making it work with the berkeley setup but I was able to do ALL my projects with it. And it is infinitely better than STK. If you decide to do it you can ask me for help on how to make it work with berkeley libraries.

Swetko, do you have a way to reach you such as AIM?

I have a few quick questions. If you don’t mind, PM me your AIM or ICQ.

cygwin/* */

STK works well on Windows…

I went with DrScheme.

Linux is not necessary. STK on Windows worked fine for myself and everyone else I knew.

If you feel more comfortable on linux, then by all means. But definitely not necessary if you aren’t as familiar with linux as you are with windows.
