CSE 142 by Stuart Reges - regrade my final?

I am a 0.1% away from getting a 3.0 and there was a question that I’d like to regrade on my final. I asked it to my TA and she said “you may be able to get points back.” The problem is prof regrades the entire final. So even if I get 1 or 2 point back I don’t know how much he is going to mark down. I have mistakes that WEREN’T marked down like not putting “;” at the end or saying “r = r.random();” instead of “r = new random” and I’m not sure how he’d mark these down afterwards… If anyone went through this process with prof Reges and can give me some tips on it that’d be great.

Well if you have a 2.9, assuming 0.1% away from 3.0, you should go for the regrade. I’m not sure if it is the same for 142 but in 143, the regrades are capped at -2. If he happens give you more points, your grade will go up to a 3.0, but if it goes down by -2, I doubt 2 points on the final will pull you down to a 2.8.

In my opinion, the semi colon shouldn’t lose you any points unless you missed numerous semi colons, brackets etc. However he would most likely take off a point for not using r = new random() since creating a new random partly tests your knowledge of random being an object.
