CSS... 18 pages long and almost all about "parents": Normal?

<p>I’m having a hard time filling out this ironic must-be-paid-for application for financial “aid”. It’s 18 pages long and half of it has to do with my parents. I don’t know anything about my parents yet alone their tax information and all these other outlandish questions being asked. </p>

<p>Can I just leave that half blank? Being over 25 I really don’t understand what this application is hoping to gain with the million questions unrelated to me and my circumstances.</p>

<p>And asking if my brother will attend college and what his expenses are… How am I suppose to know all this and if he even will be attending college??! Even if I were to ask him there is no way to say for certain.</p>

<p>For the FAFSA you are independent because of your age. Double-check the age cut-off for the Profile. Some of those questions may not apply to you at all.</p>
