I am working on the CSS profile. We have a 529 plan held by a grandparent. There is a question on Profile that asks how much we anticipate getting from outside sources to fund 2016-17 expenses. Not sure what the best answer is here. Should I say 25%? This would assume we use an equal amount each of the 4 years.
I think the answer calls for a dollar amount and not a percent.
Yes I agree to clarify … should I say 25% of the value of the account. It account has $40,000 it would be 25% so 10,000.
That sounds reasonable. Then the following year if there is $33000, use $11000.
