CSS Profile: Blank or 0?

For the CSS Profile, lots of things dont apply to me. Should I leave it blank or put 0?

Thanks

I put 0. blah blah blah blah (message was too short)

Most colleges awant you to put 0

I think they said to put 0 and try not to have any blanks

The only things that are supposed to be left blank are listed when you click the Help or ? button beside the question.

I have another question about the profile: Do colleges look through this before making admissions decisions, or only just for the aid package? I know that would qualify a school as being not-need-blind, but does it happen (even for schools that say they are need-blind)?

The only school I completed the form for, W&L, had me send everything to the financial aid office instead of the admissions office and I actually received my estimate seperate from my decision so I would say, no, they’re completely independent.

Once a college decides to offer you admission, the financial aid office will look at the profile and make up an estimate for you.
