This is a puzzlement for us. In my case, I was with the company in a completely different role for several years, basically part-time, then became full-time doing something different. I normally would put only my years being full-time in my current role on forms asking for years at my company.
In my spouse’s case, his company was bought out several times, so even though literally he is at the same desk for a long time, the actual company has changed so it looks like he just got a job recently.
i don’t know what to put for "Number of years at current place of employment. " for each of us therefore.
Any thoughts? If I knew what reason they were asking, I would know how to answer. Or should I think about “if they audited us, what would they find?” Because I believe they would find the short time for him, based on his “new” employer who bought out his old company, and they might find something longer for me, even though by the numbers I was clearly part-time until my latest job.
