CSS profile - student resources question

hi,
while entering info to this question in student resources i entered the following which i am now not sure if they are correct:

How much does the student expect to receive from the follow ing sources to pay for educational expenses for the
2018-19 academic year?
The student’s parents* 0
Other relatives (and any other sources) to help pay for college expenses* 0
Scholarships and grants from sources other than the colleges or universities to which the student is applying* 0
Tuition benefits* 0

can someone please confirm if this can have any issues with getting admissions to any colleges? based on FAFSA and my parents savings, there’s a low chance that i will qualify for any need based scholarships.

i have only applied to IVY schools and am getting nervous…

appreciate the help,
thanks,

There’s a low chance that you will qualify for any need-based scholarships, in part because of your parents’ savings, and yet you don’t expect your parents to help pay for your college expenses?

The Ivy League schools are all very expensive, and they don’t provide merit aid. How are you planning to pay?

that’s the mistake in the form. my parents are ok to pay but in the form i put no support from them. my question is will that impact the chance of getting admitted. thanks,

and also thanks for taking time to reply. appreciated.

You didn’t say that there was a “mistake in the form;” you said that you weren’t sure if some of the answers you provided were correct.

Have your parents (or other relatives) said that they will pay for all or some of your expenses at an Ivy League college?

Your answers on Profile will have no impact on an admissions decision. As long as you answered the other Profile questions accurately (including all questions about your family’s financial situation), there probably won’t be any impact on whatever institutional aid you might be offered. Still, if you made a mistake in answering some of the questions, you should notify the financial aid offices at the schools that have received your Profile form.

The Ivy schools, actually all Profile schools, will calculate your family contribution based on your parents’ income and assets…not the answer to that question on the Profile.

Did you make other mistakes on the Profile?

If you only applied to Ivy schools…You should be more concerned about admissions…than financial aid…since it seems your parents can pay. But none of these colleges is a slam dunk for admissions for anyone…unless your parent have donated millions of dollars to fund a new building or something.
