CSU Application says Incomplete, but there's nothing on the to-do list?

My application into SJSU says that it's incomplete, and to look at the 'to-do' list immediately. But there is nothing there and I turned in all the application materials already. Should I give them a call? Or am I safe?

I'd suggest waiting a day. The same exact thing happened to my Purchase app, and it fixed itself the next day. If your application is still listed as incomplete in a week or so, I'd suggest calling or emailing admissions.

It may be because San Jose State is no longer accepting applications for Fall.

From the website...

*San Jos

It takes time for them to process, usually after the application has been acknowledged they send you an email for a personal application portal where you can check your application status and see what is missing.

If you have that and it says your application is incomplete, give it about 1-2 weeks, there are many applications being sorted through and maybe yours hasn't been sorted yet.

Did you read my post?

San Jose's deadline was last November 30th.

No, it says incomplete if it hasn't been processed yet. Mine is incomplete w/ no to-do items as well.

You'll see that you've missed the deadline, if you're applying as a first time freshman.

I applied on Nov. 25th and my application status is incomplete. It simply means it hasn't been processed yet.

i applied before the deadline as well, and mine says "incomplete" with no to do list items as well.

i called up their office in december, and the lady told me to wait through it january. i tried calling again, but no one there seems to pick up the phone! im getting worried =S but its nice to know im not alone on this one.

just curious, are u an international applicant?

Star quote:*--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My application into SJSU says that it's incomplete, and to look at the 'to-do' list immediately. *

Maybe I misunderstood. Did Star recently apply or did Star apply last fall and there is a notation to look at the "to do" list immediately? (It sounds like the others don't have the message to "look at the to do list immediately".)

Isn't San Jose State going to be soon notifiying students about acceptances?

Glad I found this thread. I am having the same issue and I applied on October 8 as a transfer student, way before the Nov 30 deadline.

I applied BEFORE the deadline.

There was a to-do list item to turn in my SAT scores, which I have done so. So I'm not sure what's wrong. D:

I'm an in-state applicant.

Did you check to see what date your SAT score was actually sent? Was it sent electronically or by paper?

Can you call the school and find out if they received it?

I applied on November 1st and my application is still considered "Incomplete" as well, even though I know they received my SAT scores. I'm guessing that they just haven't gotten around to looking at/processing it yet.

I had this happen last year. There are some things they don't process in a timely manner! What you can do is check in with them directly. SJSU's processes are very slow, and frequently things are not updated online until the last minute. It can really make you crazy.

I applied to SFSU and when i checked my admission status it also said my application was incomplete with nothing specific saying what i was missing. After a few weeks, i called the admissions office and i was told i needed to send my highschool trancsript and that they havent yet started there applications for out of area students, and to send my transcript now to get it out of the way. This may be the same problem for you i would call the admissions office.

hope this helped :)

^^ Huh? Now I'm confused... I thought that CSUs don't require a high school transcript until the end of your senior year if you plan to enroll...

I called and its just because they did not review your application YET.

the same thing is happening to me but i'm not worried. you guys will probably soon enough. i applied on the first day too...

anyway, good luck everyone!

anyone have any luck with the incomplete status? mine is still the same
