I really need someones help. Especially if it’s from personal experience. I’m debating between these two schools, mainly because they offer great entrepreneurship programs. I’ve been doing my research and found out that CSU San Bernardino was ranked #4 top innovative business school in the country by Entrepreneur.com. I dont know if that’s true or not. I also found out CSU Fullerton was ranked #5 best public university in the country, whereas San Bernardino was #17. But before you answer this question, let me tell you a little about myself and my personal interests. I’m going to be attending a community college and transfer to one of these two schools. I need to make up my mind soon, so that way i can take all my required courses for that school and not waste any time. I’m very motivated and focuses in my school work. I won’t worry about having social relationships in college. I plan on opening my own business soon, so i really want the best entrepreneur education from an entrepreneur standpoint, not an employee’s. I will also be minoring in either economics or real estate. Which school will give me the most diverse entrepreneur knowledge? Which one is more up-to-date? and which will be most beneficial for me? Please help me pick the perfect school for me and explain why. And please take into consideration all other factors. Thank you!

It’s not #5 in the world, it’s #5 West Regional.

I suggest you learn more about college in general and think about trying really hard in community college to transfer to a school like UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly SLO, Cal Poly Pomona, UCSD, etc. If you want to go into business, look at Berkeley’s HAAS.

My sister goes to CSUSB. I saw that ranking, but I was honestly surprised by it. I did not know CSUSB was ranked for anything. If you need to attend a CSU because of the costs, look at Cal Poly SLO’s business school and I think CSU Fullerton would be worthwhile to check out more.

How do I even learn about these schools and there entrepreneurship programs? I’ve been trying, but it’s hard for me.

Not what you asked but, I’m a parent so, I can’t resist. During college years, most people learn more outside the classroom than inside. Dealing with people, day to day challenges, competing priorities, etc is a HUGE part of the value of a college education. Also, don’t under-estimate the value of the relationships you can make in college. Faculty, dormies, classmates are all potential partners, investors, customers.

It is also my opinon that successful entrepeneurs have a deep understanding of the above.

I don’t know anything about the specific program you reference. For a more generic business programs at CSUs, Cal Poly SLO, SDSU, and maybe Chico and Long Beach (maybe SJSU too) are better than either of the ones you are looking at.

If you want to learn more about a specific program, plan a campus visit. Most campuses welcome perspective students to reach out to facutly and get a department tour. I bet you could even swing sitting in on a class or two.

Great planning ahead and good luck with whatever you choose.
