CSU Long Beach tour

I will be taking my D24 to CSU Long Beach for a self guided walking tour during her spring break. My understanding is that CSU Long Beach will also be on break at that time so the campus will be very quiet. In additional to walking around campus, are there areas just off-campus where we should visit? Are there areas just a few blocks off campus where CSULB students shop, go to cafes or boba shops or restaurants, shop, and/or just hang out? If so, where?

You can drive around CSULB, Ximeno Ave shops and neighborhood areas.

We are doing the same. I plan to call the bookstore to see what spring break hours are for it and the library. Hoping to peek into the science hall, the rec center and possibly a dining hall b/c my student is hoping to dorm there. I will also take my student to 2nd Street (coffee shops and boutique/thrift type stores) as well as 2nd & PCH (UO and restaurants). We may check out Seal Beach and Bolsa Chica as well as HB just to see how long the drive is to a bigger beach.
