CSU Spring 2013 Admissions Freeze

CSUSM has cancelled my application and I didn’t apply to any other schools. As well, the CSU and possibly also the UC system are in a desperate budget crisis and apparently spring 2013 admission is frozen. What am I supposed to do? I don’t want to spend two years in a community college and then transfer, I want to stick with the same school for the full length of four years.

My Dad is a veteran which basically means I’m limited to California state schools because the military will pay our tuition. Will the UC system be affected by this also?

I know this is something I will ultimately have to figure out on my own, but what advice can anyone give me? I’m deeply concerned that I’m going to get locked out of CSU system completely due to this budget crisis. Palomar College has something called “fast track” where you basically take a semester of classes in half the time. Would it be possible to take a years worth of classes in a semester at Palomar then transfer to CSU as a sophomore?

I fully realize this is not a chances thread, but are there ANY UC schools that I would remotely have a chance at getting into considering I got into CSUSM without too much difficulty? A rough estimate or guess would be helpful. 3.0 GPA/1860 SAT.
