<p>I received this in my SSU Student e-mail this morning and thought I would share it with all of you. I have been stressing over this all week, and it feels so nice to have our voices heard.</p>

As many of you are aware, many studentsparticularly freshmenhave been unable to obtain an appropriate number of units for the Spring semester. This morning I had an emergency meeting with the School Deans and others to determine how best to assist our students. We are committed to having every freshman obtain at least a 12 unit schedule. To help ensure that, we are implementing the following plan:</p>
<p>A supplementary registration period will run from Tuesday, Dec. 9 to Thursday, Dec. 11 for all first-time freshmen admitted in Fall 2008.</p>
<p>Academic Schools and departments will open new lower-division sections to accommodate their registration. This registration period will begin at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9 and the system will remain open for registration and add/drop through 10 p.m. on Dec. 11. <p>Best of luck to you in getting your classes. It’s difficult enough in freshman year, but to compound it by not being able to register for courses toward your degree is a real problem.</p>
<p>Thank you, cpeltz. I was fortunate and was able to get some classes, but I was hoping to add another one. Hopefully this will help.</p>
