CSULA student taking 5 classes in one quarter. NORMAL or TOO MUCH?

Will I be able to handle taking 5 classes in one quarter?
I’m currently a freshamn in CSULA. I don’t belong in any major for I am “undecided,” but I am planning to major in Nursing.

The classes I will be taking are:
Math 91 - 0 units
Engl 96 - 0 units
Phil 160 - 4 units
Art 101 - 4 units
Micro 201&202 - 6 units

I’m taking all those classes to meet certain requirements.
Math 91 and Engl 96 are mandatory because I scored low on my ELM/EPT assessments (didn’t study beforehand thinking that I’m smart enough)
Phil 160 and Micro 201&202 are two of the prerequisites for the nursing major. Already taking prereqs to get ahead, so when I apply for nursing, I would have a better chance of being accepted.
I’m taking Art 101 as the easy class just to fill the minimum 12 units for full-time students.

Will I be able to handle all those classes? I heard that 4 classes are already too much.

Those classes are all doable. Yes, you can do it as long as you don’t slack off.
