Acceptance received at: 2/15/2019 6:50 PM
Major: Economics BA
GPA: 2.49 as of Fall 2018
AA-T/AS-T: N/A
Pre-requisites: Will complete in Spring 2019. I’m missing Calculus, which I’m repeating from last semester, and Statistics.
Golden 4: Will complete in Spring 2019. I’m currently taking oral communications, but I received an A for Critical Thinking, C for Math, and I used my AP English Literature score for Written Communications.
Local: No, Los Angeles City College
Applied: CSULA, CSUN, Cal Poly Pomona, CSULB
Accepted: CSULB so far
I am extremely shocked and grateful that I am accepted, I honestly still can not believe it. I have one F and 2 D’s, and I repeated Accounting 2 twice and Calculus once. I really just applied because I got the application for free. I actually have a 1.6 GPA from the school I’m attending and a 3.35 from a community college I transferred from, so I really grazed the bullet.
I think I got in because my grades at my previous CC was good. I also have good grades in all of my required classes expect Calculus. It also could just be a pity acceptance lol.
@adreezybones so I heard back from their help desk, they said if you do not see the Student Center button on your account, do not be alarmed because several accounts are still in the process of provisioning. They told me I should see the Student Center button at least by the end of the day!
So hopefully this week we should all be able to access our accounts without problems.
@sc13251 I think it will be okay once we submit final transcripts. I think we all got conditional admission because they need to check if the transcripts match the supplemental apps we reported. I’m just curious as to once we sent them our final transcripts how long it will take for them to send final acceptance emails, and remove the to do list item off our account. You have until May to pay the admission fee. So if anything you can wait for now.
@lulu1115 unfortunately no they did not, all I know it is that it can take up to 4 weeks for them to process paperwork and update the portal during peak times! I do not think it will take that long because if the deadline to submit these documents is March 15th but we receive our acceptances sorta close to that date, then they need to process things quickly? idk the logic makes sense in my head haha
I know a lot of people who heard back from CSUF, but not everyone has. I called the school on Friday because I don’t have an admission decision yet my to-do list is still there even though I already sent my transcripts two weeks ago. The lady said they are super behind so it’s going to take a while she said it could take a month for official decisions to come out. I know my friends who are business majors already got their acceptances, but I have a lot of friends in other majors who haven’t. I’m surprised Long Beach has been so much quicker than Fullerton in getting decisions out. @taki123

@busfinance congrats! I’m a finance transfer major as well, but I transfered this spring to CSULB.
Have yo ureceived an email with acceptance? There should be said what your steps are.
You might need to se unofficial transcripts now, but by certain date after you finish semester, you need to send official transcripts.
@lulu1115@adreezybones -A Month? Did they say why they are so far behind? Yeah, LB has been on it this year letting us know rather earlier then later. May 1st is way too late lol, I’ll probably be Accepting somewhere if that’s how long it’ll take them to let me know.
No, they didn’t tell me why. They weren’t very nice about it either lol. If they keep taking so long, and if they take until May then I bet a lot of people will end up picking a different school who released decisions sooner. CSUDH started releasing decisions a long time ago my friend got accepted there at the beginning of Jan. But I believe Fullerton always takes the longest from what I’ve heard they usually release end of March, but they say it could go till May just in case they can’t get to everyone’s official transcript checks in time. Right LB is on it this year. @firefox952
@lulu1115- Yeah of course, for all the schools I’ve gotten into, the deadline is May 1st. Yeah, I got my acceptance from DH way back on Jan 17th. I mean when they rejected me a year and half ago, they let me know at the end of October (I was applying for Spring 2018 at the time). So hopefully they’ll start letting us know by the end of this month to. They really are, and I’m grateful for it lol.
I’m just glad LB is one of my first choice and Fullerton was more of a safety. So I’m kind of set already and just waiting to see if I could get in to the long shots whoch are the UC’s
@sc13251 Have you heard anything about the conditional acceptance? It disappeared off my to-do list now. Wonder when they will get back to us. I guess after conditional acceptance everyone will receive provisional acceptance, then we send our final grades at end of the semester and get final acceptance.
I’m just being requested to turn in my transcripts from all colleges attended. I’m actually kinda curious how things will turn out with mine as I have prior international coursework. (Which wasn’t factored in for my conditional acceptance) @lulu1115
