hey all! hope all is well and that you’re staying safe!
i’ve been seeing movements here and there about a move for the national decision day (which for long beach is may 1 and UCs is june 1) now it makes sense why the dates are the way that they are, they want you to go to a CSU and make that decision.
however many people are upset because they feel that they cannot make an informed decision. they’re pushing for schools to move the day back a month, which would be june 1. what do you guys think of it?
personally i’ve visited LB a few times. but i’ve never been to UCSB (had planned to go on my spring break…which changed) and i want to make sure i am making the right decision. like i dont want to choose long beach bc of the may 1 deadline without knowing what i truly thought about SB.
so i’m really hoping they move the day. does anyone know how to get this to the college or am i alone in this decision? i only applied to four schools LB and 3 UC’s so the decision day is very crucial to me!
also update on the above situation: nothing has changed and i ended up ordering a rush order from college board. i think LB is delaying it bc of everything going on but i am unsure! I am terrified to call long beach and bring up the situation and then they’re like “wait you’re right you’re missing scores…you’ll be getting your rejection email shortly”
Has anyone had any luck getting thru on the housing portal yet?
Did anyone else that got admitted get a hold pop up in the portal today? I have a hold that is titled “Prevent all enrollment actions”. I clicked on it and it says this under instructions “Satisfactory completion of the terms of your admission offer must be verified prior to enrollment. Contact the Office of Enrollment Services (562) 985-5471.” Has anyone else got this? And what does it mean?
@Vcpirate1127 it means we’re good with our requirements so far. It goes away on the day we do our SOAR.

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone would know how to help me in this situation. I’m currently a CCC student who received a conditional acceptance back in February. I’m not sure if I can continue to fulfill this one class that I’m currently in—it’s a part of my ADT requirements. I have a 3.87 GPA/English major. Does anyone know how this will impact my decision during this time?
@arilenn your best bet is to call/email CSULB’s admissions to get the most accurate answer about your situation. I wish you the best of luck!
Did CSULB extend the date to accept admissions? Has it been moved to June 1st or is it still may 1st?
has CSULB sent out admission offers to those on the waitlist? I heard they usually send them out between May 1st through early June.
@nemojoes I am still waitlisted for finance. I mailed my requested documents mid March

Hi. I was rejected as a transfer student into CSULB Psychology with a 3.89 GPA, IGETC finished, but I was missing ONE class they asked for on the secondary application. I appealed and they rejected me again without an explanation. I am taking the missing couse this summer. I was admitted to UCLA, USC, UCI and UCSD. Cal State Fullerton but CSULB was my first choice. I was admitted as a freshman applicant but did not want to go there at that time. Now 2 years later rejected:(
So, you being on the waitlist w a high GPA concerns me. Any explanation why you were not admitted right away? I have to make a decision to attend one of the other colleges I was admited to or wait to reapply to CSULB in August for the Spring.
