First off, yes I am a terrible student and do not have my priorities in check, but I assumed that since the deadline for selecting dorm rooms was on June 7th (today), I could do it after homework and everything else. However, I just logged into the application portal and it says that room selection is closed! What’s going to happen to me? Will I lose my housing place to someone on the waiting list? I’m so scared and angry with myself right now, I should have finished it earlier in the first place. Is there anything I can do about it?
if you were a terrible student - you wouldn’t have been admitted to CSULB.
Contact the housing office as soon as they open and see what they can do.
The office told me that since the application itself was completed before room selection, I didn’t lose my spot! I will be getting a random dorm, however, so I accept that as punishment for not being more prompt.
I think that’s part of the learning curve of college, particularly at large universities Waiting until the last minute may put you at a disadvantage. Good thing is you still have a room.
