Good or bad? How does it compare to those of other major urban universities in the US? I’ve checked out a few websites of various universities and it seems to me as if CU offers the greatest number of history courses, with a smaller portion of them being introductory ones, but I do not really have any objective information on the matter.

I actually was wondering about this myself. I’m interested in the Early Modern period; they have 5 specialists in it, which is not bad at all.

Eric Foner teaches there!!!

who’s Eric Foner?

Alan Brinkley teaches there!

Excellent faculty. Ranks at the graduate level near the top in the country – maybe around fifth?

Eric Foner = foremost authority of Reconstruction!

Well, Simon Schama teaches there…I’m not really up on US history, but the European history professors are amazing.
