does anyone know what textbook we use for this course (taught by Starn)?

Well it said no books on the Duke textbook website, so probably none.

[:: Duke University Bookstore ::](http://dukebooks.collegestoreonline.com/ePOS#currentdept)

Sometimes when a course doesn’t list a book it could mean that readings will be provided by the professor as excerpts from various sources.

…or maybe we just won’t get any work?

::crosses fingers::

I’m sure they’ll have to at least pretend that they are gonna give you work ;)

I had CulAnth 94 this past semester. It was with Litzinger though so I don’t know if Starn is supposed to be easier or not. Class was pretty easy. But yeah, most of the weekly readings are articles posted on Blackboard. We had to only buy two books ( not textbooks) over the semester. You could get them at the Regulator or over Amazon or something though.

thanks everyone
I’m just going to assume that we don’t have to buy books for now :)

does anyone know how much the kickboxing class costs? someone told me we had to buy equipment…

For intro kickboxing, I think you have to buy gloves and wraps, which amounts to about $30.

lol I love the segway from Cul Anth–>kickboxing

Btw, is that kickboxing with Rita Whitney?

lol at madboy’s comment
^ actually this is is the one taught by J Bowen
