<p>For the essay topic, “Briefly discuss an activity or organization that you are participating in outside of your own cultural group”, what exactly qualifies as outside of your own cultural group? I run XC and Track, could those qualify?</p>
<p>Something out in the community. i.e. a multi-cultural club. Volunteering to help people of a different socio-economic background. Where you are interacting in a diverse environment, with people of different races, economic classes, religions etc. Sports don’t necessarily count…</p>

<p>I’d just write about any experience meeting new, different people. I don’t think the essay for MSU is very important if you have good stats btw…</p>
