Just called City College and apparently I was denied. However, because I submitted my additional supporting documents in February (letters of recommendation and personal statement), those weren’t considered as it takes 6-8 weeks for them to become available. Can I appeal my decision? Also, if I can, what is the likelihood I get in the second go around?
@lms2300 i would definitely appeal. they probably did not get to see the rest of your documents. call them and find out what their appeals procedures are.
Hi guys who’s attending Brooklyn College for the fall 2018 semester?! I have some questions! When’s registration? When do I make a cunyfirst bc cunyportal , bc webcentral… And all other accounts? When do I send my immunization records? Also who’s going the the brooklyn college reception, what’s gonna be done there? I’m just lost can some one PLS help me!!! Thanks guys!! 
@baker101460 yeah I guess I have to actually go there (City College) to file an appeal, so looks like I’m making a trip out there lol. Does anyone know how often rejections are overturned after an appeal at City College?
We are still waiting to hear from John Jay, portal was updated two weeks ago. I am no longer impatient but rather annoyed with the delay. My son has officially heard back from every school he has applied too except John Jay.
@MrsTee it took 2 weeks for john jay to notify me, so you should hear something within the week, hopefully…

Accepted to all CUNY’s I applied to (Hunter, Brooklyn College, City College) except Baruch… damn
@webgirl1 call Baruch. they have an appeals process…you have a 50-50 chance to get in that way…good luck.
I haven’t heard from any of the schools I applied to (City College, Hunter, Baruch) It’s April and I applied in January, and apparently, lost my transcripts and didn’t tell me until I found out over a month later on my status page. I had it sorted out by mid Feb. I was told that I would heard back around late March or April. I’m really losing my patience the office…Any suggestions on what to do?

Anyone get accepted to Lehman? I’m still waiting for Baruch and if I get accepted there then I’m going. If I get denied then I’m going to Lehman. Anyone know what I need to do before this May 1st deadline? Because Baruch is taking forever and I want to have all my deposits sent to whatever college before May 1st.
Hi, I’m going to write the timeline for when I applied to the CUNY schools and the date I received their decisions. I hope this help for Fall of 2019 applicants because I couldn’t find any information anywhere when I was in the process of applying, so I hope this helps!!
I completed the CUNY online application on Nov 14,2017 but did not paid the $65 fee until the end of November. I sent in my application on the first week of December 2017. My CUNY portal was updated (that they received my information) on Jan 20th or around that week. I mailed in my transcript, 2 letters of recommendation and a personal essay. I know it’s not required but I still sent it anyways.
I put sciences for curriculum but intended major I put in undecided.
Colleges I applied to and the date I was notified:
2/26/18 Hunter College (accepted)
2/6/18 CCNY (accepted)
2/3/18 Queens College (accepted)
2/7/18 York College (accepted)
2/13/18 Queens community (accepted)
1/24/18 BMCC (accepted)
My stats:
GPA: 91.35/100
Weighted GPA: 92.13
SAT: 1150/1600
We haven’t heard anything from even one college my child applied to… I found out that Welcome Center is closed from March 26- April 10. No email will be sent out till April 10? Did anyone receive an email after March 26?
@nyankosensei just checked the website…yes they are closed through april 10. suggest you call the schools directly during that time…their admissions offices are open…or you can check your CUNY portal account and check on the status…otherwise you will have to wait until april 11 to call and speak to a counselor.
(hey!! since when do they close during spring recess??? they should be open if the admissions offices throughout CUNY are open…the nerve…)
Welcome center is close for students but they still open. I called them yesterday and they picked up and told me I should be receiving my decision in mid April or beginning of may
