CUNY fall 2018 acceptance

@partangel considering your scores on the SAT, i think you have a good chance of getting in

@baker101460 thank you, I sure hope so! I will post my decision when it comes out (fingers crossed)

Pls I sent my transcript already,
Why is my status still showing
“Your file does not include a transcript of your high school record”
I am an international student.

@Aderinsola it takes some time for the portal to update but I would email them just to make sure they got them or call if you can.

I applied to CUNY’s through CUNY application, but only sent my SAT scores directly to Hunter. However, I got an acceptance from Lehman College this week through mail. I just wanted to know if you send your SAT to one CUNY does it go to all the CUNY’s you applied to? Or does Lehman not care for SAT scores?

I was accepted into BC and was wondering how long it took for your BC web central account to let you activate?

i just got decisions from city college, i got rejected from sophie davis (not suprised) but also from the bio program due to my “academic record” i was awfully shocked since I didnt have issues getting into schools like University of Connecticut or Drexel. I really liked city college so such a blunt rejection leter was a real slap in the face.

@lms2300 I’m attending bc a well. Mine isn’t activated either so idk. But did u create any accounts yet like a cuny first… And did u get an email about registration? What are the next steps I’m lost!! Tia!

@CCaffine call city college admissions and ask for an explanation…i think they have an appeals process that you can try to get in…otherwise call queens college or hunter and have them take a look at your records…maybe you can get in there…

@baker101460 im not to worried, I’m commiting to uconn and I’m gonna do a summer session at hunter maybe. Its a bummer bc i really hoped this school was gonna get me out of commuting and staying home at uconn but oh well.

@caffeine uconn the home of the lady huskies!!! Good luck at uconn…Hope everything goes well with you there…

@Teebee2000 I called BC and they scheduled the placement exam for me for April 30th. Apparently you have to take the exam before you can register and enroll? I don’t even know. Their communication is horrible.

@lms2300 I took the placement test on march 26! But still no word on registration!! Btw if u don’t mind me asking what are you going for?

@Teebee2000 that’s crazy! I would deff give them a call. I think you might have to schedule the meeting w them yourself. And I’m going for political science. And you?

@lms2300 I keep calling and they keep saying no one got an email yet! Idk they are extremely confusing! I’m pre med:)

Does anyone know what CUNY admissions feel about out of states? I got rejected by 2/3 schools i applied to and I’m just suprised bc I got into some higher teir schools like Loyola and Drexel. I’ve heard they they’re all about numbers mainly but my GPA isn’t that low I’m a 3.24/3.25 and I came from a highly ranked school so I suppose they just don’t care about out of states that much?

Hey guys i applied to john jay march 19 does anyone know approx when to expect a decision

@CCaffine I got accepted into Hunter and in the accepted group, I’ve seen many out of state students being accepted. I do, however, feel that whether you are an out of state student or not – your GPA gets taken into consideration. Many people accepted this year for Hunter have a GPA around 3.5, since the average GPA is 3.2. If your GPA is at or below school average, you will need a higher SAT or ACT score. They tend to stay away from students with certain average GPAs as the CUNY system wants the best out of the best.

Anyone going to Brooklyn college??? Did you make an advisement/registration appointment yet?

I applied to CUNY on December 27. I am waiting to hear from Queens College because I got an email from them giving me my VIP username because I met them at a college fair at my school. I was overthinking because I thought that can help me get accepted. They said “We look forward to seeing you on campus,” not “Congratulations.”
