Current deferred class of '16 Stats

Awee you guys!! Don’t be on the verge of a break down. Undergrad really isn’t that big of a deal especially if you want to go to Grad school (which I assume is a high percentage because you’re applying to such a top school). I’m sure you have many other acceptances that will be valuable experiences. Don’t downplay your accomplishments because you got deferred to a school that gets a buttload of applications and can’t take them all.

Little Red: you may be somewhat correct; recently heard of a school (very small) where RD deferrals were just admitted last week with similar/lower profiles than the EA deferrals that had not heard back yet…

That 3.6-3.7ish GPA area seems to always be an issue regardless of rigor…year after year…

“Honestly, both students expressed surprise on FB due to their mediocre stats!!!
One of them, I have no idea of her stats, but she is not in the top 20% in my school
The other one is in only 2 AP classes and I am quite familiar with his very average grades, as we are friends.”

Perhaps since your high school is very strong, Michigan decided to admit those students who they felt would most likely matriculate. You yourself said that the top students use Michigan as a safety.

rjknovi, You must be confusing me with someone else. I don’t remember saying that top students use Michigan as a safety.

Sorry, my mistake,
