Current Grad Student Wanting A Career Change (Chances)..

Context:

I’m wanting to know my chances at receiving admissions into several grad programs. I’m currently getting my m.Ed in Math Education from Southern Methodist University, where my GPA is a 3.75. I am also a current teacher, in the Teach for America program. I’ve quickly realized that teaching is not the field that I’d like to pursue as a full-time career and want to follow my original passion, which is College Student Affairs.

Schools I’m Considering:

– University of Georgia (Athens)
– UCLA
– NC State
– University of San Francisco
– University of Maryland
– Florida International
– NYU
– San Diego State
– UT - Austin
– SMU

Stats:
– Black Male currently residing in TX
– Undergraduate: BA in International Relations from UNC - Chapel Hill (first generation, GPA between 2.5 - 3.0 :-/ )
– Work Experience: 2 years teaching middle school math through TFA
– EC Activities in College: Greek Life (2 years), RA (3 years), Diversity Student Coordinator (2.5 years), Admissions Ambassador (2 years), Created diversity program for other first generation minority males to aid in their retention.
– Very strong LORs from SMU and UNC professors and Staff, TFA, and my School Administrators
– I’ll be taking the GRE this summer.

Overall, I just want to know my chances at getting into a Master’s Program in Higher Education/Student Affairs at these various universities. I’ll be applying this fall. Any help is greatly appreciated!
