If you get accepted, UC’s will cost you $70k++/year so keep that in mind as you decide on your application list. Here is a post about calculating the GPA.
UC GPA calculator is linked here and yes you have to calculate the GPA’s which are not listed on the application: GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub
The CSU GPA can be found on your Cal state application. You can calculate it here: GPA Calculator | CSU
If you have not taken any college courses, then your CSU GPA = UC capped weighted GPA.
Please note if you are a CA HS student, then you can look up which HS courses are weighted in the calculation (Yellow Star) here: University of California A-G Course List
UC’s and CSU’s use only 10-11th grades for the a-g courses in their calculation. 9th grades are not included and 12th grades are not considered for admissions. The only exception is Cal Poly SLO which does calculate their GPA with 9-11th a-g course grades but still has the 8 semester Honors point cap for weighted courses taken 10-11th grades.
Your HS transcript may not reflect the correct GPA since not all HS designated Honors classes are UC approved.
