Everyone knows that pursuing a career in medicine is something that is highly regarded by all people. Upon becoming a doctor you receive that prestigious title, Dr., you make a decent living, and most importantly you have the opportunity to change the lives of others for the better. Do most of you agree that your decision to become a doctor was the best decision in your life? Can any of you share what a typical day as a doctor consist of; what it means to you to be a doctor; why you find it so rewarding; and maybe some inspiring stories of what you have achieved as a doctor to spark the interest of some prospective premed students. Thank you.

I’m fascinated with how the body works, and how it’s attached to a person. I’m still pretty young (and only halfway through med school), but so far it seems like it’s worth it. I think I’ll enjoy being able to go in to work for the next forty-some years.

I think you can answer this question by shadowing a doctor…

Obama is going to ruin the life of every doctor.

^Easy there, chicken little.

Obama is the man, seriously. Did you see him own that fly? In any case, based on these forums being a doctor is hard as hell, tiring, and at times frustrating, but if you like helping people and you are fascinated by the human body it’s rewarding. My sis is MS1 and she is pretty damn happy. If this is what you are called to do you will love every minute of it.
