Is she even interested in trying for full ride scholarships at higher rated schools? If so, I think she could be competitive. If not, I completely understand. It won’t matter for teaching, but the level of classes is often deeper than some of the typical teacher colleges if learning is her passion.
Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, U Miami (FL), Vanderbilt, U Rochester come immediately to mind as having them - or at least they did last I knew. I’m positive there are more.
It’s often on here that Washington & Lee has good scholarships too.
