Im trying to pick classes for my sophomore year at CAS. For those of you who have taken Calc.1, which prof should i go for between Matt Leingang and Nawa Bou-Rabee? I’d really appreciate any advice. thank you!</p>
<p>Leingang is the only one who speaks english, although he is more difficult than the others. Very proof based calc. If you take leingang, dont take Hwa Kim Kil as a TA, he SUCKS.</p>
<p>I had Leingang, he was fine. Not the most approachable lecturer out there. He has this concealed tone of impatience whenever you speak to him, but he’ll address your concerns as patronisingly and obligingly as possible. Don’t get me wrong, still a good teacher that knows his stuff. Interesting slides.</p>
<p>I’ve heard very nice things about Leingang. Plus, as one of the directors, he is the main writer of the standard final exam, so it’s an advantage to you if you spent all semester getting used to his way of solving problems.</p>
