<p>As a pre-med, what sort of ASI: Arts and Science Internships can you get from Vanderbilt. Also, what opportunities are there for premeds and working in the Vandy med school or hospital?</p>

<p>Grades are more important. You’re going to best benefit your chance at a top med school by being in the top 50/100 of your graduating class.</p>
<p>And you’ll barely have time during the Spring and Fall to undertake a significant non-class pursuit. If you are asking about formalized internships instead of classes (like some schools) for a semester or the like, that doesn’t exist and Vandy. Four years, eight semester in the classroom is the A&S and Engineering experience. There is a little deviation to that in Peabody. </p>
<p>But you CAN volunteer at the medical center to confirm you’re making the right future career decision.</p>
