Is there a link to historic information on grade distributions for each course? How about GPA distributions by major? by graduating year? I’d like to get an understanding of where DS stands in his class/major/school. Thanks.

On Rate My Professor, there’s info by professor…there are comments, which you have to take with a grain of salt…people tend to complain a lot more than they go to the effort to say good things about teachers. However, there’s an application that shows by professor, by class, the previous years’ grade distributions. I’ll check with D on the site, or hopefully somebodynew will prevail (again)!!! I don’t know that there’s anything that GPA distributions by major that are published, but maybe the individual colleges have them…?

[OurUMD - Students in charge of their education | OurUMD](http://www.ourumd.com) has grade distributions.

Edit: I just noticed your comment astrophysicsmom :)

Wow, long time no see, somebodynew. How’s everything going this year? What’ve you got lined up for the summer? Hope all’s well.

P.S. Thanks for the link! Exactly what I was looking for.

He is very helpful. We sure appreciate that!

Things are going well this year. I’d say I’m fully adjusted to life back in the US, but that I miss Spain terribly. My English classes are really tough this semester (probably because I haven’t taken one since last May)–one of my professor was quoted in that article about student entitlement (he was the first guy).

In terms of lining things up for the summer, until about a month ago, I thought I wanted to be a high school English teacher. I had a sudden realization that I didn’t want to do that anymore. I started volunteering at an adult ESL program and love it. I want to go into linguistics in grad school, so I’m applying for internships in some places, and next week I’m going to contact faculty about what I should do. If that fails, I may just take a class, work a pay job, and volunteer at a different ESL program.

It’s weird not having everything lined up already. I guess working for Orientation spoiled me.

You’ve always impressed me as someone who’s got his act together and will be going places. With your interest in ESL, I just have to share my favorite commercial with you! (Since I think we’re not allowed to post links to YouTube, here are the keywords: New York Lottery - Cashword 'English Class"). Enjoy!
