Which meal plan do you recommend?

The most typical mealplan for males is 150, for females, 100.

Yeah, I have the 150, and it’s really hard to use all of them. I’d say that I would use about 120 naturally, and I have to make an effort to buy groceries, etc, to use the other thirty. Also, I am an athlete and I have morning practice, so I eat breakfast…and this adds swipes. Most girls I know can’t use 150. Guys can use 150 but not 200. There is no reason for anyone to get 200.

Addendum:

I would probably recommend starting with the 150 just to be safe (and so he/she doesn’t feel like they have to worry about swipes first quarter and can just relax and get used to college) and then switching down for the later quarters if he/she doesn’t use all of them.

Ambidextrous
That sounds like a perfect plan
You don’t know how often or when you’ll want to eat til you’re there.

A lot of meals are spent eating leftovers (you get plenty for own swipe at most places) or eating out. I had a lot of trouble using my 100, as did all of my roommates. I thought for sure I would eat 3 meals a day, but oh, that was not true at all once I got to college.

Also, your student can bum swipes off of other freshmen who got the 250 plan and have 170 swipes left at the end of the quarter. Trust me, everyone wants to buy each other lunch by the end.
