I would also like to know the approximate Chemistry curve if anyone knows…=) thanks

techiedork- are you sure about that one? 54/180 raw is a 3 on Physics? That would be amazing…

so on the AP Bio test, someone can score a 100 on the multiple choice and leave all his or her essays blank and still get a 5? Am i intrepreting the curve right cuz a 5 on the AP Bio test is a 94/150?

94/150 = 5
73/150 = 4
53/150 = 3

Econ is >86% for a 5, I think, or something very close to that because it’s considered an “easy” test.

This is the Physics B curve according to my physics teacher…

1 = 0-37
2 = 38-53
3 = 54-85
4 = 86-114
5 = 114-180

(Raw MC (0-70) x 1.286) + Free Response = 0-180 scale]

Techie dork, aobut that… what do you do if you ommited some questions. I got 47 right; 16 worng 7 omit.

Remember that the Bio AP test now only has 100 MC questions. Although I think they mulitply each question by a larger factor so that it weighs the same amount as it used to. Is this what everyone else has heard as well?

If I recall correctly, Chemistry is…

99-160 = 5
76-98 = 4
49-75 = 3

that’s about right for chem, since 60% ~ 5 ish.

As for econ, 86% can NOT be considered easy!! For an AP that’s one of the harshest curves i’ve seen, if it’s true! wow, that’s high. Can anyone verify this one?

thats right about bio. There are 100 MC questions, but that still only accounts for 60% of the total grade. So if you get all 100 MC rights, you only get 90/150… a 4. On the 94/150 curve for a 5, if you get all 100 MC right you need a whopping 3 points on the FR to get a five.

Yes, if you get ALL 100 MC right. I’d like to see that happen.

Haha. It would be pretty funny if someone gets all 100 on right. It gets rid of college boards “you are not expected to answer every question on this test” thing. It would be pretty cool though. I would kiss the nearest person to me if i find out that i got them all right… sigh… its not gonna happen…

anyone got a curve for physics C em?

I do negro. In '98 it was:
49-90: 5
35-48: 4
26-34: 3
15:25: 2
0-14: 1

Curves have gone up approximately 5 points since then.

o crap yeah i’d like to know if econ really requires >86% for a 5 b/c if so, i am so not getting a 5.
i am not at all ready for the chem and econ next week…

actually im maybe…94% sure i got all the MC right for last year’s AP bio exam. i think i tore it up last year, i never remembered a question i even had a doubt about.

anyone know for sure the spanish language curve ?

hey jrcho, i remember you from the psat convo.

when you ordered those ap tests, could you look at them right away off the internet through some sort of product code, or did you have to wait until it arrived in the mail?
