Cyber Monday Deals!!!

In case anyone wants to share the deals they found!

I just ordered 2 Entertainment books for my kids. They are on sale $25 for the first one, $20 for the second one and today Ebates.com has a 50% return on them - GREAT deal! My kids love the books especially now that they can download the Entertainment app and not have to have the book on them to redeem many of the deals!

Downloading the app would be convenient, abasket.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has 25% off one item and free shipping, but there is a list of brand exclusions.

Also restaurant.com has $25 certificates for $4 plus 30% back on Ebates. Unfortunately the restaurants currently featured in our area kind of stink.

Ebates is offering a better rebate on some sites. Just bought something from Golfsmith and the amount is 10%. The item I bought on Friday the rebate was only 6%. I had an email with specials from starbucks.com but their website is so jammed it won’t pull up.
Tried to buy a doorbuster from Lands End this morning. No luck. Other posters on the good buy of the day thread indicate the same problem.

Amazon has the Kindle Fire that normally sells for $159 on sale today for $129. It’s not their top of the line HD model, but I think it’s a good value for a gift I have in mind.

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy 2 tablet from Amazon for $179. It won’t be here in time for Christmas though :D. I also go a ScanDisk memory card for the tablet and a new bathrobe for me. I almost bought new knobs for our kitchen cabinets but ended up taking those out of the cart because I didn’t want to mess with returning them if they were not very good quality.

Got work clothes for D2 at Express. Today everything is 40% of with free shipping and then used coupon for $50 off . Got work pants she always wears, two blouses and a sweater for $80 total.

Have been wanting a piece of carry on “luggage” for my S. He’s more of a duffle bag guy.

Just bought this Eddie Bauer bag - originally $80 on sale for $66 plus take another 40% off and I had a few Eddie Bauer friends bucks - free shipping too - so final cost $37!!!

I ordered a 32" tv from Walmart for $184. The reviews are mixed, but I couldn’t get DH on the phone so I went ahead and set it for Instore-pickup. If he doesn’t want it I’m sure I can get an easy refund.

Bought the Audubon Bird Camera ( motion activated, weather and idiot proof  ) for $99. normally $159 and free shipping from National Geo website. Good deal.

Also shopped on-line with Express. Got 3 nice t-shirts for nephew at 40% off and used a $25 off coupon, so all 3 were just over $60. Got 2 long-sleeved work shirts for H & S, as well as a long-sleeved t-shirt for just a bit over $60 after applying the $25 off coupon. These shirts were normally $59.50, so it’s a good deal. Didn’t have a $50 coupon, only two $25.

Anyway, think everyone will like their new purchases–of not they can return/exchange them.

Slightly off-topic, but did anyone notice in the Cyber-Monday email from Sam’s Club that they have auctions now? That’s pretty interesting. They avoid “sniping” by extending any auction for 3 minutes after the last bid. Sounds better than ebay!

Tried to order with Harry and David. Got a nice but not that helpful guy the 1st time I called. The 2nd time I called, got a VERY UNHELPFUL lady that kept asking me for the item number of what I wanted to order. I told her the item numbers as they showed up in my check out basket but she insisted they were wrong. I got frustrated trying to work with her and just hung up without ordering–don’t need that aggravation and I guess they don’t want my business.

Bought a bag for D at Landsend–a planned purchase–but saved $17 by doing it today. Bought myself a sweater from Talbots for 50% off. It probably won’t fit but it is worth a try for the price.

Thanks abasket. Ordered that duffel for DS. Now that he is in grad school it’s probably time to get rid of his High School wrestling bag lol. With the 40% paid $42. but I will also get 6% back from ebates.

Wanted to get some Leggo to give via the Giving Tree at Walmart.com but by the time I tried to pay, got message that it was out of stock. Oh well, I guess I may go to Ross to buy for the Giving Tree–at least then I’ll be SURE the items are actually THERE! It’s irksome when the items are unavailable after you put them in the basket & are trying to check out!

I think there are massive numbers of people shopping today - truly many things are going like hotcakes. Especially popular items. They may be back in stock within a few days.

I will post my query in the other famous thread, but here we go:

I want to replace my crappy vacuum from my school days with a Dyson. What would be the best deal to purchase in San Francisco or Texas?

Gracias!

Do you belong to Costco?

Nice – thanks!
