<p>Harvey Mudd College in Pomona, California, has an excellent engineering program. The compete on teams formed by Mudd, Claremont McKenna and Scripps College. Here is the link to the football page.</p>

<p>Carnegie Mellon, Case Western, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Rochester, Rose-Hulman, RPI, Tufts, Union, WashU, and WPI are all top engineering schools with D-III football teams.</p>
<p>btw my SAT scores were 2040 with 780 in math, 31 act, 5 on ap calc bc test, 4 on ap euro+physicsb, but only 3.4ish gpa high school.</p>
<p>Easy enough to do on your own … first focus on engineering and which schools in which you are interested. Any school that interests you check if it is DIII, DII, or DI … 3000 schools … 100+ are DI in football and another couple hundred are DII … so that leaves a boatload of DIII schools.</p>

<p>(PS - I think it would be much quicker starting with engineering and then checkling out football - especially since 3/4ths of the DIs engineering schools will be obvious … Illinois, Purdue, UMass, etc)</p>

<p>Will your parents pay for wherever you go? If not, then paying for school will be another concern.</p>
<p>Are you only considering D3? Would you consider being a walk on for D1 or D2?</p>
<p>Walk on, and only d3 because those schools are the most likely for me to make it on and play on.</p>
<p>D3, if I am not mistaken is necessarily non scholarship for athletes. There are ways around that with “generous financial aid”. </p>

<p>But don’t be so hard on yourself. There are plenty of Division IAA (FCS) teams with excellent engineering programs: Villanova and Bucknell for example. They will take walkons frequently. So even if they dont load you up with a football scholarship, you can still make the team.</p>
<p>But if you want to PLAY…as in frequently on the field gametime, then DII or DIII may be your options.</p>
<p>Also look at VMI and Citadel.</p>
<p>Patriot League schools, including Bucknell, do not offer athletic scholarships for football. The League has made a special agreement with Fordham which will permit that school to offer “athletic merit” scholarships beginning this year, but Fordham will no longer be eligible to win the league championship. This situation is in constant flux so it is possible that my information is already dated.</p>
<p>As ghostbuster suggests there are many Division III schools who are very generous with financial aid for students they really want, including football players.</p>

<p>That might change some things. Are you currently taking engineering/related courses?
Are the grades at your current school good?</p>
<p>At many schools engineering majors start Day 1 of FY in the major because it requires so much. Transferring in might be more difficult than other majors, or if accepted and w/o prior courses, you may not get out in 4 years. Have you considered this? The extra expense?</p>
<p>Are you playing football now or will there have been a year away from it? If you are at a public IS, will your parents be willing to pay for a private? Can they? Virtually all, if not all the schools mentioned here are expensive privates. I haven’t suggested one I know of because I don’t think they take engineering transfers.</p>

Im kinda in the same boat, im currently studying Engineering and want to transfer to a Div 3 or NAIA school that has football and engineering i have a 3.2 GPA are there any suggestions, I’ve played club, nationals and represented my country in the IFAF tournament
There are quite a few, Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette, Union, RPI, WPI. The first three are D3 functionally.
Trinity University in San Antonio has a pretty good D3 football team, and also has engineering. It definitely has the small class sizes you are looking for, with about 2300 students total. I do not know if they will give an Merit or FA to a transfer–you will need to investigate.
Your grades and scores generally meet their admissions profile for freshman; again, not sure how rigorous they are for transfers, but it is a beautiful campus with terrific, mild weather and a smashing new $231M integrated science building which houses their engineering department.

I do agree with Union, RPI, WPI as choices. Some other ideas might be Carnegie Mellon, Case Western, TCNJ, Johns Hopkins, MIT, & Tufts.

@ScaredNJDad1 Lehigh, Bucknell and Lafayette are not functionally D3. The Patriot League now offers football scholarships which has upped the game at those schools.
Don’t count on extra FA (as was suggested above that you might get). You will be lucky to get an admissions tip – don’t assume your FA will be any better than the college’s net price calculator shows.
