D in AP Calculus AB?!?!?!

I think I have a D as my final grade in AP Calc AB and my school runs on a block schedule so this will be the grade on my transcript and midyear school reports.

I have already been accepted into 3 schools but none of which I want to attend.

Last year, I got 2 C’s overall- my lowest grades so far.

How bad will this D hurt me ??

Might be more helpful if you post your gpa, scores, etc. and what schools you’re worried about.

GPA: 3.6 W
SAT: 1900/2400
RANK: top 20%

UVA

W&M

VA TECH

UMD

are you in va…cause if your not then thats not lookin great…dont know bout the other 3

Could be a problem. Any extenuating circumstances?

“my school runs on a block schedule so this will be the grade on my transcript”

How does having a block schedule have any affect?

beefs, i am in va.

zuma, i had to pick up a part-time job to help out the family but other than that… no.

christalena2, because i only have 4 classes this semester and no other ones. the D will be one of the 4 grades so it will look worse, imo.

ohhh, I see.

Sorry about your grade! I hope everything works out.

why did you apply to three schools you don’t want to go to? just wondering

citygirlsmom, safeties or matches that i was interested in before when i applied but not anymore.

Does UVA require midterm transcripts or just after you senior year? If they do require midterms, best of luck. I could see them pulling your acception.

Def. looking very bad for UVA.
I have no idea about the others. but UVA…unless you’re an albino Native American from a tribe that is all but extinct…well you get my drift.

gstein, yes UVA requires midterm transcripts.

xerxesOiM, i figured…

Don’t let them see it. Really. A person several years back got their admission rescinded from Stanford with a D in AP Calculus and ended up going to UCLA.

It’s sort of a legend because he was that last person to get accepted to a top 5 college from our school.

but you HAVE to send it to them, that’s the problem…

i say make up an excuse…a VERY VERY good one

etti, I have a reason for the low grade so I just have to write the letter and send them off.

Thanks for all the replies!
