I have a D on Maths in my junior year transcripts. Do I have any chance of getting into Brown University for Bachelors of Science in Biology, provided my SAT scores are good enough?
Truthfully, having that D is going to significantly hurt you, unless there was a genuine extenuating circumstance (family, illness, etc.) that your GC can address
Thank’s for your reply.
Did you take more than one math course your Junior year (and hence the strange use of plural in Math)?
What course was the D in? If you got it in Differential Equations (which few students even have access to, much less take in high school), that may be viewed as pushing yourself to the limit if you had As on other math courses up to that point in time.
Need more context.
I’m from India. Everyone here says ‘maths’ (British English).
We don’t have different courses in maths.I got a D in my junior year finals which tested the whole junior year maths syllabus. I can send you my report if you want.
My present maths syllabus for 12th-grade includes Analytical geometry, Differentiation, Integration, Differential Equations, Probability and some Trig and Algebra.
