I got a D+ on my math grade oh I’m a Jr but I was just wondering if I got a A next semester could I get into wvu? I’m doing great this year last year I had a 1.5 gpa because I didn’t really want to go to college but now I do!! Do I still have a chance? The rest of my grades are Bs
The average GPA for WVU is 3.42 so I’d say you’d have to get it near that.
Different schools have different criteria for dealing with D’s on report cards.
When did you get the D? Was the D in your first or second semester?
Many colleges/universities will ignore a D in the first semester if you raise the grade (remediate) in the second.
For others, a D is a non-starter and will disqualify you if you don’t repeat the class.
Check with your HS counselor to find out what this might mean for you with your new college goals.

WVU looks at your cumulative GPA from 9th through 11th grade. They don’t look at each semester or year separately. You need to look at their website. They look at GPA and SAT or ACT test score. That’s all. If you are a West Virginia resident the GPA requirement is lower than if you are an out of state applicant. It also depends on your major. Engineering, nursing, and some others require a higher GPA.
