D2 College Football

How should I get recognized by colleges such as Stony Brook or Princeton?
I really want to play Football for any of these schools, im currently a junior in high school.
What should i do?

Win awards, go to combines, go to camps etc. I got awarded all-league, o-line/d-line awards, all state honorable mention and such in my soph and junior year (and senior year but no one knew)and was contacted by a lot of coaches. I think you should just start of by filling out the questionaire and emailing the coach. A lot of people get questionarries but fewer email the coach, so doing both will def get the coach to look at you. Then rape your senior year. What awards have you won? Also position ht/wt. I always got attention cause of my size (6’4 260 benching 425+) so most schools already knew I had size which was a good starter but then they wanted to see awards, videos, etc.

ht-6*1
weight-259
40 yard dash-5.7
bench max 260[Working on it trying to get to 315]
squat max 455
3 year starter oline[RG]
If feel as tho my academics might improve my chances in getting in.
85.7 avg currently taking AP american history, I took the sat’s sept of junior year just to check it out and got a 1450 combined, have been doing community service in the off-season. Where would I get the questionnaire’s for the colleges? mail and email

i know it is generic but fill out the questionnaire online…try to e-mail the coach, if your coach is good with recruitment things try to get them to contact coaches.

my club coach is what helped me here lol

p.s. isn’t princeton football D1?

Ivy league football isnt really considered D1. Its IAA.

Is that 1450/1600 or 1450/2400. If it is 1450 out of 1600 then your golden. Your athletic stats are good, def within the range of ivy league football. Put 6’2 unless your obviously not 6’2. Fudging on the number cans have a big effect. 265 as well. Everyone fudges the numbers a little. As long as it is within reason it can have a nice effect. Just dont put 6’5 when your 6’0. Is your team good? Also have you won any individual awards?

Online is where you will find everything. Most schools have online questionnaires and if they dont have that then they will at least have a .pdf where you can print it out and mail it to the school.

Sadly its 1450/2400 I took it earlier than the rest of my cohort. Im still a junior in high school and Im planing to take the test two more times. Team hasn’t given out awards in years.

You need at least 1800. And much hgher unless you’re a complete beast. Try act, trust me. You need at least 27 or 1800 to even be on the radar of ivy league football, academically

what about stony brook?

The first thing that you need to do is to get a realistic assessment of your prospects from a football perspective. Is there anyone who has seen you play who a) actually knows what he is talking about and b) you can trust to give you a brutally frank assessment of your prospects?

yeah my coach

you usually get the questionnaire’s on the schools athletic pages under the particular sport…my advice is to stay in shape and do the best you can in school…fill out some questionnaire’s to a few schools your interested in…and maybe look at some other schools as well
