<p>I’m not a great student or a great basketball player. I’m good enough to play on a crappy division 3 basketball team but can’t get I to colleges like caltech or mit. I need a school that has a good academics that is not hard to get into, AND has a pretty bad team.

Ohio Northern, case western, rose hulman fit the small and known for engineering</p>

<p>@need2learn - good point. Looks like some of the colleges might need to come off the list.</p>
<p>Most schools also have a club basketball team. You still get competitive games against other colleges, with much less time commitment. Might be a better choice for a not so great player and/or not so great student. This might open up some D1 schools for you that might be good fits academically.</p>
