Dali remains exhumed for paternity test

DNA strikes again…http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/in-surrealist-twist-dali-exhumed-in-paternity-lawsuit/ar-AAovscA

Wow. This will be interesting. Thanks for posting!

The supposed daughter looks just like him!

I was in Figueres the day the judge ruled that the ‘daughter’ had the right to have the exhumation done for DNA. I thought the ruling would be tied up in appeals for a long time.

I am an adoptee and I say good for her! She has a right to know her origins and I hope she is vindicated.

Headed to Figueres in just over a week, and curious to find out how this is interpreted at Dali’s museum there. One last piece of surrealistic performance art?

My thoughts are with the potential daughter as well. I cannot imagine her situation.

Get your ticket ahead of time. There are timed entries and the museum is very crowded. Dali’s grave is in the center of the musuem. They’ve had to lift a heavy marble block to get access to the remains. It is a most unusual museum, enjoy.

We have our tickets for the museums in Figueres and Portlligat. Happykid is so excited. She’s the one who found out about the Dali sites there. I’m just the driver and credit card carrier on this trip!

Aaaaannndd…

That settles that!

Oh welll… the end to a long drama. At least we learned an interesting thing about the mustache:

Somehow, knowing the state of the Spanish economy, even if the results were “positive”, I don’t think that she’d be told. The government would have to fork over a BIG chunk of money since Dali’s estate has been in their coffers for years and they’re not about to let it go!

I guarantee that someone involved in the testing will eventually spill the beans if the result was indeed positive. Drama is always good.
