Hey…I am from Florida, which is kind of a Latino Mecca of sorts. So I dance salsa at least 2x a week and tango on weekends, in addition to merengue, chachacha, bachata…you get the picture. Anyway I wanted to know what the dance scene is like at Dartmouth, as it is my major hobby and I don’t particularly want to give it up.

haha…this is such a cool post.

Anyways…I did Destination Dartmouth…which is a fly-in program for minorities…and there were LOTS of Mexicans, Central and South Americans, and PLENTY of Cubans. I learned more about latin dance in 2 days from those people than my brain could process.

And D-mouth has plenty of facilities to get your groove on. If you go to D-mouth…YOU WILL TEACH ME TO SALSA!!!

K.B

Yes, you should OFFER A CLASS!!! There is a latino house there, I think…

Hehe, that would be cool. So I’m assuming that students can set up such extracurricular classes?

People at Dartmouth are mad cool. There are classes, and if you started a group, people would run to join! Sheba is more of a hip-hop/ techno dance troupe and people are crazy about it!

I love salsa dancing! I joined my school’s salsa club this year and did a perfomance a few months ago for the school.
