<p>It’ll give some of the pros who have, up to this point, been stuck with partners who were on the show for entertainment value and had no reasonable chance to advance far (Tristan, for example, who seems to be paired with much older and less fit ladies) a chance to strut their stuff.</p>
<p>So delighted that Gilles is returning! I hope he’ll win this time, as most agree that he is the best male celeb dancer ever on the show. But with so many past winners who have huge fan bases, it may be difficult. Of course, who knows what ABC may decide to do with the scoring and format. Wonder if they’ll use the dance off they tried this past season. </p>
<p>I hope everyone will have a new partner. It would be really unfair otherwise. That will put into question the chemistry that so many of the couples had before. But Cheryl can’t dance with Gilles, Emmett, and Drew, and Mark can’t dance with Shawn and Bristol. Plus Julianne is no longer there to dance with Apolo or Helio. I actually think Gilles will get one of the taller women–Peta, Anna because he’s the tallest of the men. It’ll be a shame for Kirstie not to dance with Maks. They brought out the best in each other.</p>

<p>Glad that the 13th spot goes to someone who can actually dance: Sabrina Bryan. That helps make up for her early departure the last time she was on the show.</p>
<p>Just don’t know how they can think it’s fair to have some celebs dance with their old partners and others have new ones. I think everyone should have had new partners. </p>
<p>Also, does someone not like Mark? He gets stuck with Bristol again and they give Shawn to Derek?! I absolutely can’t wait to see Gilles dance with Peta. Legs! Legs! Legs! And it was really nice that Donald Driver tweeted for his fans to support them.</p>

<p>ABC is so enamored of Carson. Why would anyone have wanted to see him “dance” again?</p>
<p>I know I’m not the only one who watched this! Can’t believe they’re showing the results show during Kol Nidre tomorrow - surely some of the stars are Jewish and won’t Len Goodman be in shul?</p>
<p>I would have been happy just watching Gilles the entire two hours. Sigh.</p>
<p>I’m a little surprised that Pamela Anderson, Bristol Palin, and Kirstie Alley are all on the “All-Stars” edition. I can certainly understand bringing Sabrina Bryan back and think she got a great partner in Louie. The one who surprised me the most was Emmitt Smith. I thought he’s improved since he was on the show last when he won in season 3, even though it is only his first dance of the competition. He has great chemistry with Cheryl. I also think Apolo and Karina are a good pairing, along with Shawn and Derek, Melissa and Tony, Gilles and Peta, and Kelly and Val. No great chemistry between Helio and Chelsie, imo. I think one of the athletes will prevail at the finish line.</p>
<p>Pamela Anderson was one of the few stars that did not look that great tonight. I think she’ll be the first to go.</p>
<p>Definitely liked Shawn, Sabrina and Kelly Monaco on the female side. I was surprised at how confident Bristol Palin looked. She’s certainly grown up. She deserves to come back another week.</p>
<p>On the men’s side, Apolo, Emmit, and Giles were my faves. Giles…sigh…</p>
<p>Was it just me–but Drew Lachey did not wow me as much as he wowed the judges…</p>
<p>I remember being shocked when Sabrina was voted off - she is a tremendous dancer, but also, isn’t she by training (ok, Cheetah days) a DANCER? She was really, really good last night. </p>
<p>Didn’t watch everyone - this show is WAY to long for my patience and the cheesy music grates on me after awhile…BUT I will watch selectively - and will be rooting for Apolo the most!!!</p>
<p>Emmit Smith makes me smile when I watch him dance. He makes it look fun.</p>
<p>The sooner Pamela Anderson and Bristol Palin are gone, the more I’ll enjoy the show. Anderson should be the one to go tonight based on performance.</p>
<p>I was expecting Giles to be my favorite (as elle said, sigh), but Emmit was wonderful. He jumped to the top of my list. He can still move those feet.</p>
<p>I really don’t like some of the music choices. They don’t seem to go with the dances. The very first dance in particular, the music almost seemed to distract from the dancing.</p>
<p>It seemed awfully long, even though I had DVR’d it and fast forwarded through the adds.</p>
<p>I think Sabrina is amazing! But the judges are right in that she needs to be careful about going all out/all the time. I think the voting audience gets jiggle-fatigue…</p>
<p>I cannot figure out how Bristol stayed on so long last time. She is better this year (and seems to have a new face and body), but the general level of competition is higher so she deserves to be gone within the first three weeks. Did anyone notice at the final last pan of the group, Pamela Anderson looked totally out of it. She even ran her hand down her dress like it was the beginning of some exotic dancing routine. Weird and inappropriate! My favorites are Emmit and Apolo. It’s too long, I agree.</p>
<p>Surprises: Kelly was better than I ever remember her. Bristol is so much better than she used to be, plastic surgery and all. Drew wasn’t as good as I remember. Gilles – still a dreamboat. No surprise there. </p>
<p>Emmitt lucked out with the chacha the first week which plays to his strengths, but how can you not love his smile? And Helio’s?</p>

<p>Love, love, love Gilles, too. I’ve met him, and he’s as nice in real life as he seems. It’s amazing someone so gorgeous is not full of himself. </p>
<p>I think Apolo was underscored and Emmitt overscored as far as cha chas go. Emmitt benefited mostly from going last. I know skaters have tremendous thighs, but I though Apolo looked pretty chunky compared to last time, but maybe it was just the stretch pants. </p>
<p>Of the women, I was surprised by Kelly. I wish Pam would have stuck around bit just so we could see more of Tristan. When will he get a great partner? </p>
<p>It looks to me like Kirstie has gained back quite a bit of the weight she lost the first time, but I love to watch her and Maks together. She brings out the best in him.</p>

<p>Did any of you catch Emmit on that show Who Do You Think You Are that helps celebrities trace their roots? It was so eerie when Emmit learned some of the key facts about his ancestry from volume #22 at a county courthouse records department. Emmit wore that number in college and all throughout his illustrious career with the Dallas Cowboys. I literally got goosebumps when Emmit said “Whoa-wait-volume #22?”</p>
