<p>Two are leaving tomorrow, and they don’t want one to be Emmitt, I guess. That’s why I voted for Kelly and Melissa. I feel like their fan base isn’t as big.</p>
<p>I LOVED Shawn’s trio dance. And for them to complain that it wasn’t a Samba is just silly—once you have one girl and two guys, right then it’s not a Samba! They DID have steps and style of a samba in there, but the choreography and presentation was hugely entertaining and well done. I hope she stays!!</p>
<p>I missed most of the show. What did they say about the trio dance challenge? I know that Len is the one who tries to keep the dancing more pure “ballroom”. Is there a category of competitive ballroom with three dancers? If not, as somone said, how could it be pure?</p>

<p>I have to agree with those who did not like Shawn, Derek, and Mark’s “samba” … it just wasn’t. (I’m getting tired of gymnastics used for the “wow” factor in Shawn’s dances.) </p>
<p>I voted for Melissa and Gilles.</p>
<p>So…could anyone else not tell the difference between Apolo and the professional in their trio? I had a hard time distinguishing…</p>
<p>I have always thought that Derek was a clearly outstanding choreographer. And dancer. Shawn dances extremely well - or I should say has great timing and is full of tricks. I DO agree that I feel they can lean towards entertainment/tricks MORE than the actual dance and its traditional steps/form. And I’m probably in the minority with this…I LIKE Shawn, but I think that team is a little full of themselves. I just prefer a little more modesty in success. I think she has a good chance of winning. </p>
<p>Makes me nervous with 2 going tonight (it’s just a tv show, it’s just a tv show, I tell myself…) It will be a crime if Kirstie stays and someone else goes. I also personally think Emmitt is not to the level of the others.</p>
<p>LOVED Shawn’s trio jungle dance…but I could have told you that Len was going to HATE it. I voted all my votes for Shawn to keep her in. Melissa is really coming on, though. I figured that she wouldn’t have the fan base to keep her in the competition this far into it, but I was wrong. I think she’s getting new fans as the competition goes on.</p>
<p>Apolo definitely gets underscored compared to Emmit…</p>

<p>I think they overscored Apolo a bit, probably because they saw the replay of last week’s show and realize they underscored him then. Agree that I couldn’t tell him and the other guy apart. He did a great job.</p>
<p>And for the record, I want Kelly Monaco’s body. She looked so good last night.</p>

<p>Wow, that second elim was a surprise! Thankful that Apolo is still there but didn’t expect Giles to go.</p>
<p>Irritated that Emmitt is still in there.</p>
<p>Even though I love Gilles, he had kind of gotten smug or something the past couple of weeks. Just too competitive or something. I’m sad he’s gone. Funny that lovebirds Max and Peta get kicked off the same week.</p>
<p>I was glad Apollo did not go but really bummed that Gilles went. He is much better than Emmit in my opinion. Relieved that Kirstie finally went - as i think is she!</p>
<p>Kelly worries me. She is getting way too thin. I was kind of shocked at the sight of her shoulders and arms.</p>
<p>Now that Gilles is gone I am leaning toward Apollo and Shawn to win.</p>
<p>Didn’t watch the results show Tuesday night but it sure seems coincidental that Maks’s girlfriend Peta was also voted off in the same week.</p>
<p>Emmit must have some incredible fan base. Giles was better than he was every week…but I’m not a big Giles fan, either.</p>
<p>A bit funny: we have an ex Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and an ex Dallas Cowboys running back both going into the semi-finals.</p>

<p>sorry to jump in couldnt resist agree have stayed. Kelly, I htink has always had trouble keeping weight. Rumor has it , her and Val are an item. I saw Tom Bergeron speak at my D’s college. some asked him if Kelly and Val were , It. and he said “lets just say they have great chemistry” he was quite entertaining, BTW as expected.</p>
<p>I’d say that the producers want a Shawn (of course…) and Emmit final. With Derek Hough as her partner, she is virtually assured the win. He’s the best choreographer, and he knows how to use what she can do to the max. And even I have to admit that she has grown significantly as a dancer, and no longer depends entirely on tricks. If she wins this time–why am I even saying “if” :rolleyes: --she will deserve it.</p>
<p>Gilles should not have been eliminated. I’m not really surprised, though, because you could see his scores being edged down just a tiny bit: enough to get him eliminated but not enough to make it obvious that he was being deliberately underscored. (No way did Tony and Melissa OR Emmit deserve 10s…) I love Kirstie, but it was past time for her to go.</p>
<p>Val and Kelly are either a couple or great actors. I agree, Youdon’tsay: I want Kelly’s body. :D</p>
<p>I was surprised to see Gilles go. But his momentum has been fading, just as Melissa’s has been going up. Would rather have seen Emmit or Apolo go…I really thought he’d be in the final.</p>
<p>So the finals will have four couples instead of the usual three? We have Kelly, Melissa, Apolo, Emmit and Shawn in the semis…</p>
<p>I would rather have had Emmit go than Gilles. I think Gilles is a better dancer than Emmit. Emmit is a very likable guy. He moves well, particularly his torso, but otherwise is not that much of a dancer. I guess this show rests a lot on fan bases.</p>
<p>Definitely fan bases are key this season. There isn’t a lot of difference in the judges scores between the top and bottom of the leader board (once Kirstie goes).</p>
